About GFF Direct
GFF Direct is a family run business, based in a village near Selby in North Yorkshire, UK. The foundations of the company began in 2004 when Sally was diagnosed as Wheat gluten intolerant.

Living in a rural area, they found the search for outlets that provided basic but essential ingredients for a Gluten Free Diet, frustrating to say the least. Often a round trip was 50 miles or more. Frustrations heightened when major supermarkets reduced their selection, either due to lack of demand or moved the Gluten Free products onto normal shelving to make space for regular diet seasonal products.

By speaking with coeliac's in the local area Sally soon found that they experienced the same restrictions and frustrations. So with her husband, Stuarts, IT knowledge and support, the website was born. The site was launched in May 2004 with just over 90 GF foods listed.

Since then Sally and Stuart have increased their range rapidly to give a wide variety and choice of good quality foods to customers and they have sourced foods that customers have found difficult to find, like pork pies and sausage rolls, which are made by local producers with first hand knowledge of gluten free diets.

The site currently lists some 400 different gluten free foods, with exciting products from Italy (Il Pane di Anna flours, Mazzarini pasta's and ALDO Luxury desserts) and Finland ( Innofoods Individual pies) being the latest additions.

With the internet shop and mail order being at the heart of the business, Sally and Stuart have just launched their new bigger and better retail outlet in a village in Yorkshire.
